I was always hungry for good work – Sameksha

Sameksha, who is currently portraying the character of Keerti in POW is really ambitious when it comes to her work. Speaking about the difference between the North and South film industry she says, “I have worked in North and South film industry, which are like poles apart. The people in the north are singers and the people in the south are born dancers so I have worked with people who sing on set. It’s a chilled out atmosphere and on the other hand in the South, they are brilliant technicians and take their work too seriously. Film industry in Punjab is still developing and it will grow further. I have recently done a movie in Punjabi called Vaapsi, which has got good recognition and been appreciated and has got standing ovation at Australian film festival and LA film festival.”
Sameksha is quiet choosy about her projects. When asked about this she shares, “Working in POW is having nutritious yummy food which gives you deep satisfaction. Everyone wants to have food which is tasty and healthy at the same time. But we eat fast food too, sometimes because of non- availability and sometimes for taste (experience). So lot of other factors determines your choice of work.”
