I shouldn’t have done an adult film like ‘Girlfriend’ – Ashish Chaudhary

Ashish Choudhary, who is doing a detective show on Colors titled Dev, has no regrets in life. “The only things I find a bit embarrassing over the last 19 years of my acting career spanning over 35 films (Shaadi Ka Laddoo, Qayamat: City Under Threat and Dhamaal) & TV (fiction – Ek Mutthi Aasmaan and nonfiction shows – Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa) is doing adult content. I should have not done the film Girl Friend. One should not do anything, which we can’t share in front of our kids. Recently my son tried to check out the Neha Dhupia lesbian themed film online and I stopped him. Over the course of my career, I have turned down several projects for the same reason.”

We realise that Ashish loves children. “No wonder I got married early. Many actors prefer to get married late, but for me I want to grow up with them. My family is the most important thing to me.”
It is this responsibility that made him take up TV when he returned to acting after a four years break following his sister’s tragic death in the 26/11 terror attack. “I need the money for the future of my 5 kids (three of his own and two of his sister’s). I have also set up a business (Security Company) for financial security.”

In closing Ashish informs us that he doesnt mind having more kids, but his wife (Samita Bangargi) is against it. “I am a very hands on dad, even on sets I discuss my kids. When I am at home my wife can relax for I take over the job completely.”
