ZEENAT AMAN – She has been the ‘It’ girl and a truly gutsy, spunky and feisty Star, who changed the face of Indian Film Heroine. Like a hurricane she hit the scene with that smouldering ‘Dum Maaro Dum…’ and swept ’em all off their feet. Here was a heroine who was totally shorn of the coy, la-di-da rut of our Desi Screen-girls. Instead, she was right in your face, besides being a celebration of the body – but not in any smutty, sleazy way.
Such was the hypnotic spell of Zeenat that even when a Film starring her would always be the toast of the viewers of all hues.
