Smriti Irani

Smriti IraniScroll Of Honor (New Delhi, India) 2005

Hers is a life full of sharp detours – from a typical Middle-class Colony girl to Beauty-pageant Contestant to Actress to homemaker to Producer to Politician – she has been there and done that. After landing her humongous success as ‘Tulsi’ in ‘Kyon Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, she became the biggest prototype of a ‘Homemaker’ for millions across the country and everybody started praying to have a mother, daughter, daughter-in-law and wife like her. She redefined ‘Home’ and ‘Family’ to the Nation.

Even more significantly, she acquired the status of being the epitome of a homemaker, when marrying in the thick of mega success; she managed home most efficaciously and has been an exemplary wife and mother.

She is a Member of Parliament, being elected to the Rajya Sabha from the state of Gujarat. She is the current Textiles Minister in the Government of India

A ‘Role-Model’ every which way…!
