Nilofar Bakhtiar

NILOFAR BAKHTIAR – She is a renowned social & political activist in Pakistan and has over twenty year experience, in national and international activism .She commands leadership, of the poor & marginalized communities and has during the past decades devoted herself to the cause of gender justice and empowerment and has earned a place for herself at the highest forums of civil society and governance.
She is Minister for Tourism and has worked extensively on gender equality, violence against women and regional cooperation among SAARC countries.

She is a pioneer of several primary schools, blood banks, book banks and Women Development Centres. Her main thrust of work has been on the uplift of women, health and educational projects all over the country.
