LAILA AL MEQBALI – Started at the age 18 being one of the first women in the UAE- who started her career as a presenter on Abu Dhabi TV. The Dubai-born presenter said she had always faced opposition to her choices but pursued her dreams regardless.
As a child, she wanted to be an actress. “It wasn’t encouraged that a girl in the UAE would be an actress but my family have supported my career as a TV presenter. She was spotted and went on to present the special Ramadan shows on Dubai TV that they had been featuring for the last 5 years. Furthermore appreciating her work she got offered movies in the year 2015 ‘Dubai London Dubai’ and that where she was truly recognized for her work and acting skills.
