SUNITHA KRISHNAN – She is an Indian social activist and the co-founder of Prajwala, a non-governmental organization that works to rescue, rehabilitate, and reintegrate victims of sex trafficking. She is also a fierce advocate for the rights of women and children, working tirelessly to combat human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Her journey began when she herself was a victim of sexual violence at a young age. Instead of letting this experience break her, she found the strength to speak out and fight against the injustices faced by countless others. She co-founded Prajwala with the goal of creating a society free from slavery and exploitation.

Her leadership has led to the rescue and rehabilitation of thousands of survivors, earning her international recognition, including the Padma Shri. Through her advocacy, she has raised awareness and inspired others to join the fight against human trafficking and sexual exploitation
