DR.INDIRA HINDUJA – An eminent Indian gynecologist, obstetrician, and infertility specialist based in Mumbai, she is a pioneer in reproductive medicine. Her groundbreaking work includes the development of the Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer (GIFT) technique, which led to the birth of India’s first GIFT baby on January 4, 1988. Additionally, she is credited with developing an oocyte donation technique for menopausal and premature ovarian failure patients, resulting in the birth of India’s first baby through this technique on January 24, 1991.

Her surgical skills and groundbreaking research in embryology, endocrinology, and cell biology have been instrumental in advancing assisted reproductive technologies in India. Her efforts have brought the joy of motherhood to countless women, including those facing menopausal and premature ovarian failure, offering them hope and new possibilities.
