Amruta Khanvilkar is having a blast on ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’

The very talented actress Amruta Khanvilkar is the latest addition to the cast of Comedy Nights Bachao. Winner of Nach Baliye 7 and currently seen in the TV series 24, Amruta had quite an experience during her first comedy outing. She says, “This is my first time doing comedy, as I’ve never tried it before! But shooting for Comedy Nights Bachao was great. There was so much energy on the set. The team is among the best people I’ve ever worked with.”

However, the talented Amruta confessed that comedy isn’t all about the laughs, “Comedy is an absolutely serious business. I think it is the quite difficult when you have to maintain dignity and still do comedy. That’s where the real challenge lies.”

Still, it was a memorable time for Amruta, who had a blast watching the handsome Sonu Sood on the show in action. She recalls, “I remember the very first episode we shot where Sonu Sood roasted some of our contestants. I was literally in splits the entire time!”

She bonded well with her co-stars Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh too, “I love Krushna’s energy during the shoot. And Bharti is a total package, complete with wit, talent and endless energy. Both of them were so funny and they just helped everyone out.”

Well, so much for comedy, but what about working with her hubby Himmanshoo? She smiles and says, “We did work together in Nach Baliye, and won it, so its official that we’re a terrific Jodi! Jokes aside, if something interesting comes along, we would love to do it.”
