TEJASWINI SAWANT – Born to a Naval Officer, guns and bullets were never unfamiliar to her. It was no surprise when she embraced shooting as a sport. Her talent shone brightly at the 2006 National Championships, where she clinched an impressive haul of 5 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze medals. She continued her winning streak at the Commonwealth Games, securing two gold medals.
Her journey of excellence continued with victories at the World Championship in 2010 and the Commonwealth Games in 2018, where she set a Games record with a total of 457.9 points. Tejaswini’s prowess with a gun is a source of pride for India, highlighting her as a true markswoman.
