MANEKA GANDHI – At the tender age of 18, she embarked on a new chapter in life by marrying Sanjay, the son of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. However, tragedy struck early with Sanjay’s accidental death, propelling her into the limelight and igniting a passion for public service.
A fierce advocate for animal rights and environmental conservation, she has dedicated her life to these causes. Her journey in public life has been remarkable, serving as a minister in four governments and authoring several books on etymology, law, and animal welfare.
She servesd as the Indian Union Cabinet Minister for Women & Child Development in the Government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Her commitment to social causes and her relentless efforts to empower women and protect children have made her a formidable force in Indian politics.
