Wont do bold scenes in films till Hanuman is on air – Deblina Chatterjee

The talented Deblina Chatterjee is very satisfied that her ongoing Sony mytho Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman recently completed 500 episodes.
“In today’s times for a show to last that long is a big achievement. And the fact that I have been around ever since day one, playing different characters such as Rukmani, Laskhmi  and now Sita makes the taste of success even more  sweeter. I guess what makes the show tick is the evergreen  story of the popular monkey God and we have revealed newer facets of his great journey to boot.”
Talking about essaying Sita, this 23 years old Kolkata born & bred says,“ We all know she is the epitome of tolerance. Full  credit to my creative team (Contiloe Entertainment) to help me get into her noble  shoes. It  feels blessed  to have been given this golden opportunity”.

Here Deblina adds that she has also  become much more patient in life courtesy her stint in the above show,  “ I have matured up and my thinking process has undergone a sea change as well.” Deblina began her entertainment career with Star Plus show Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein. She also did a stint in cult Color’s saga Balika Vadhu. Besides TV she is also dabbling with films.
“My 2011 debut Bengali film Ami Aadu, where I played a village belle, won a national award. There my character writes a letter to U.S. President George W. Bush informing him about the hardships in her life caused by the 2003 invasion of Iraq.” She will soon be seen in Hindi films well “ The first  to be released will be a rom com titled Aiisi Deewangi. It is a new set up. More details will be shared soon.”

At  the moment she is not comfortable doing bold scenes in films. ” As I am playing Sita”. In closing, she takes a dig at other TV compatriots who are all over social media. “To each his own, I would rather let my work speak for itself.”
